Are you aware of that? It's been a week without a single message from the man.

Since June 21, the CEO of the two companies has not been on the platform. Save for a few likes on June 22, Musk has been mum; up until last week, he'd at least once a day.

Since he offered to buy the company, the most visible user of the service has remained silent. The social-media giant's board endorsed the takeover bid last week and he is one step closer to taking the company private.

Since then, he's gone dark, causing watchers and fans to wonder where he is.

Musk has taken a break before. Shortly after the birth of his son, X, Musk announced that he would be taking a break from social media. He stopped writing on his account for three days in 2019.

This could be a break for Musk. The executive, who is worth $223 billion, is celebrating his birthday on a yacht or on a beach.

Maybe not, Musk is famously vacation-phobia. The board fired him when he was on his way to Australia for a vacation. On his next vacation to Brazil and South Africa, Musk contracted a case of Malaria that was close to death. He had a rocket explode during his week off.

In 2015, he claimed that he had only taken two vacations since founding the company.

It's probably going to take a team of experts and a lot of computing power to comb through that data, so Musk may not have much time for his favorite pastime.
