Some of the Trumps were not concerned that their lies about the sanctity of the 2020 presidential election would lead to political violence, according to a documentary filmmaker.

Eric Trump, Trump's second oldest son, suggested in interviews that violence from Trump supporters could be an appropriate response to his father's loss to President Joe Biden.

It was fair game for Eric to say that it was the right thing to do if he felt that it was the right thing to do.

A spokesman for Eric Trump didn't respond immediately.

The January 6, 2021 insurrection resulted in five deaths and hundreds of arrests as a result of Trump's rhetoric after the election.

The Independent reported that, as he interviewed members of the Trump family in the months following the election, he grew increasingly concerned that Trump's lies would lead to violence.
