While it may not have the same dominance in the market that it once did, the company still kicks out some truly excellent Android phones, often at great prices. If you're in the market for a new phone, here are the best ones that are out right now.

There's a Motorola phone out there for everyone

Why the Moto G Power (2020) is our top pick

The Moto G Power is the best package the company has to offer. The phone's affordability makes it a clear winner in our eyes.

Is the Moto G Power now available? It is, but there is a reason why it is not ranked higher. The new G Power has a refreshed design and a 48MP rear camera, but the rest of the experience is not as good as the 2020 variant. The Moto G Power (2021) has a lower-resolution HD+ display, loses the ultra-wide camera, drops stereo speakers, and ships on the same Android 10 software almost a year after the Moto G Power. It's rare that a phone is worse than its predecessor, but that's what we're dealing with with the 2021 G Power.

The Moto G100 delivers incredible value

We are still waiting to get our hands on the phone since the Moto G 100 was only recently announced. The thing looks like it could be the best cheap phone. The G 100 is the "flagship" Moto G phone and is now available in the U.S.

The power under the display is the real story with the G 100. This phone is powered by the same processor as last year's, but it's not the same as the one used in the Moto X. Not only will you find 5G network compatibility, but you will also get 8 gigabytes of ram and 128 gigabytes of base storage.

There's a lot to like about the Moto G 100, including a quad-camera setup on the back and a 64MP primary camera that can record 6K videos. This one may have been knocked out of the park by Moto.

Don't sleep on the Motorola Edge

Budget-shoppers will be treated well by the Moto G Power, but what about those with more money? That's where the Moto Edge comes into play.

Thanks to a substantially lower price these days, it's worth mentioning that the Moto Edge had a pretty messed up launch in mid 2020. We have a curved screen, a processor, a battery, and 6 gigabytes of RAM. I only had a few weeks to use the Edge, but I still haven't found it yet. The design is stunning, it's as fast as you could hope for, and that display with its drastic curves and smooth animations is truly a sight to see.

If a lot of people completely ignored the Edge, I would urge you to rethink it in 2021. It's currently available for under five dollars.
