Thor in a burning village.

For the first time in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, no one will ever be able to say that they've ever seen the god of thunder. It's not Iron Man. NotCaptain America. There wasn't one. It marks not just a long evolution of the character, but also a hint at the future as it is the first MCU character to have their own film.

Kevin Feige said that there are a lot of stories in comic books. All of our stories came from there. The answer is no if the question is 'Have you told all the great THOR stories from the comics and movies?' The interest in making additional stories is mostly about continuing the experience with the actor. I don't think of our cast as individual characters but as a group of players who can grow and change. There are more than one incarnation of the character that we have yet to see in the comic books.

One doesn't have to look a long way to see what Feige is talking about. The main character in the comic book, Jane Foster, was introduced as THOR in the original comic book. The quote suggests that the storylines are just sitting in the comics waiting to be discovered if there is a futureThor film. Chris is willing to continue to grow with the character if that happens.

Taika Waititi brought out the immature young adolescent quality that I embody, and so does THOR now, which he didn't in the original films, which was exciting and new. This type of North Star is about having fun, and being caught up in the wonder and the fascination of all of it, and not getting bogged down in the serious nature that we can when we are young. It has to be enjoyable with these kinds of films. That is what we have accomplished. That is what I had in common with. It has been fun because Taika insisted on that.

Two thors.

The audience is surprised each time. Fans were surprised and delighted by the level of humor in Waititi's first movie. Love and Thunder wants to take that humor and use it for a more romantic story. Keeping the stories fresh has been one of the biggest challenges.

As the character has evolved and he has had different opinions, he has sort of melded and crossed paths. The most obvious of the origin stories is not the easiest. There is a set of rules and guidelines that you have to stick to and it is familiar to people. The next challenge is after that. How do you make it look like the character? Each time, what can you do differently? Working with different directors and different casts has brought out something very different in you. I feel like the characters have become more me over the years and I hope they are fun.

The fun will continue after the movie. How could that happen? You can watch the film on July 8.
