Fall Guys is getting its first major update after just a week of free-to-play. The update was issued early this morning and corrects some issues, including the fact that players on the PS5 version were not able to send invites to friends on other platforms. They were previously told to redownload the PS4 version of Fall Guys.

The Nintendo Switch version of the game fixes buggy character animations and overcomes that hurdle. Other characters no longer look like they're floating in the air. The fixes were detailed in a thread on the official account.

we made some changes today, here are a bunch of them

New life is being breathed into the game by the change to a free-to-play model. When it was temporarily free on PS Plus, it became a family-friendly darling, but over time it became less popular. The game has 20 million players in its first two days of being free-to-play, after being acquired by the company.

Mediatonic is playing catch-up in its first week on critical ones despite the fact that bugs and glitch are nothing new for longtime players. I am most relieved to see the visual fixes on the Switch, as I have kept up with friends through the Pandemic. It was odd to see other characters barely animated when I first started using the handheld version. Fall Guys sometimes leans into the cringey vibes and meta silliness, but the joke gets old fast when it feels like you're playing a broken game.

The audience may turn to more reliable alternatives if the game is not fixed quickly. If all the leftover crowns were converted to Show-Bucks currency, the piddling rewards that are mostly used on basic items would no longer be needed.
