“While it's not a massive upgrade to its predecessor, the Galaxy A53 5G is capable and pretty, comes with Samsung's assurance of quality, and is available at a reasonable price.”
There are pros and cons.
There are pros and cons.
The A52 and A51 were both very well received and the new A53 5G isn't really all that different from either of them. Is the decision the right one for the A-Series?
It is the latter. The phone was left alone in the places that mattered as a result of the $50 knocked off the price. Most of the time. If the A53 5G is still one to buy, please let us know.
The design of the A52 5G is almost the same as the A 53 5G. The same thing happened to me when I received a white version of the A52 5G. The weight remains the same at 189 grams despite some differences in size and thickness. It is similar to the A52 and A52S in that it is made of plastic with a glass screen.
The design department has been lazy. I'm not going to hold it against them because they look great. The back is made of plastic and it has a nice warm feel. The integrated camera module is stylish and doesn't protrude much, and the white finish doesn't show fingerprints or smudges.
It doesn't bother me personally, but the 3.5mm jack has been removed by SAMSUNG. It isn't common on phones at this price to have a water resistance rating. The fingerprint sensor is low on the screen, and I find one-handed use a challenge, which isn't helped by the large screen of the A 53.
The ergonomics on the A52 were terrible, but that has been fixed by the company. It is reliable and fast, but it is not as fast as the best fingerprint sensors on phones. It hasn't failed to read my thumbprint once, and although it takes a long time, it has unlocked the phone every time. The fingerprint sensor on the A52 was terrible.
The only downside of the A52 was that the fingerprint sensor was not as good as it could have been. Is the A53 headed for a perfect score? I will return to that in a moment, as another internal change hasn't worked out as well as I would have liked. The design and build of the A 53 was not changed. It may be familiar but it is also great.
A wide-angle camera with a 123-degree field of view is one of the cameras on the back of the A53 5G. You get the same 32MP selfie camera mounted top-center in the screen, as well as the same setup. Night mode and a pro mode, as well as video recording up to 4K and 30 frames per second, are included. There are various augmented reality effects built into the camera.
Some people are not going to like the photos, but the A53 can make some scenes pop off the screen. If the photo has some green, blue, or red in it, the A53 is going to accentuate it. The goal isn't realism. It will give you the perfect social media photo.
Good photos were taken by the A 53. Consistency between the main and wide-angle cameras is acceptable, lowlight performance is decent, and the selfies camera captures skin tones and details effectively. It doesn't like challenging lighting conditions and won't worry the S22 Ultra. Poor photos were produced by overcast days. Quality drops when you use the 2x option because it's not an optical one.

Adding the photo editing suite to the camera system makes it even more versatile. The Object Eraser mode works in the same way as it does on more expensive phones. There are also a lot of filters. It is a great camera for casual use. If you want to take good photos and share them online, it won't be a problem.
The A52 series phones have the same processor as the A 53, but the A53 has a different one. It can be had with either 6 or 8 gigabytes of RAM and 128 or 512 gigabytes of storage space. The A53 is one of the few phones that has room for a MicroSD card slot, so don't assume you have to get the larger model just yet. The phone I use is a UK-supplied one with 6 gigabytes of memory and 128 gigabytes of storage.
The points gained with the improved fingerprint sensor are lost in this location. The phone isn't always the fastest, with hesitations and sluggishness sometimes appearing in the software. They are not deal-breakers, and they don't affect the phone a lot, but you will notice them. It takes a lot of time to start the A 53. Some transitions and animations are not smooth, the camera is slow to take photos, and the apps take a second longer to open.
Some aggressive power management may be at work, as the issues tend to be worse after waking the phone up after it has been left alone for a long time. There was no evidence of frame rate drops after the game was over. When you play for a while, the A53 gets warm to the touch, indicating the processor is working hard to keep up. The A53 isn't a phone for serious players, but it's a phone for casual players.
All this is seen on a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 2400 x1080 resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The panel on the A52 is the same one. It is similar to the images produced by the phone. In the music video for Cherish, the colors are so vibrant and bright that they threaten to jump out of the phone. In the city at night scenes of the video, there is still detail.
The wide viewing angles, loud stereo sound, and smooth 120Hz refresh rate make theGalaxy A53 an excellent multimedia phone, ideal for anyone who watches video or listens to music but only plays games.
There is a May 1 security patch and oneUI 4.1 installed in my review of the A 53. The same software can be found on the S22, S22 Ultra, and Z Fold 3. The best long-term support you can get on any phone is four years of software updates and five years of security updates, which is the best of both worlds. It's welcome on a phone that doesn't cost a lot.
Most of my preferences for software on a phone are compatible with the OneUI from SAMSUNG. There are plenty of customizations, it is sensibly designed and retains a lot of what makes it attractive, and it is easy to use. You don't have to change much because the settings are reasonable. The always-on screen is informative, notifications are reliable and interactive, and if you don't want to use the SAMSUNG wallet, you can use the GOOGLE pay option.
OneUI may irritate some people, such as the example of theSamsung wallet. Many of its own apps are installed for various services, and it has an intrusive recommendation system for more apps it wants you to install. The default option is the keyboard from Samsung, which isn't as intuitive as the Gboard. Before the phone feels like your own, you'll have to clean up and change some of the app settings.
The A53 5G is a decent priced, pretty, and capable everyday phone from the South Korean company.
If you are not a hardcore video game player, the A53 has a 5,000mAh battery. The battery has not dipped below 50% after a single day of moderate use. The A53 starts to take up the battery's energy when it is used for powerhungry gaming. It will last a full day and into the second, unless you play for hours, but if you push the phone hard at the end of the first day, you'll be in for a rude shock.

The charging block has been put in the box, but the cable is still there. 25 watt fast charging is supported by the phone. It is possible to find cheaper versions of the official version of the device from other manufacturers. Around 80 minutes is how long it takes to charge.
I have had no issues with call quality or connection to 4G and 5G networks, and I have been able to pair my headphones quickly.
The cost is $450 or 399 British pounds. It can be purchased through retailers like Amazon and Best Buy. There is a version of the phone that connects to its network. The price is $500. Sub 6 5G is supported by the unlocked models.
The A53 5G is suited to anyone who isn't going to be playing demanding games for hours each day and is mostly interested in the camera for photos to share with friends online. The fingerprint sensor on the A52 has been fixed, but sluggish performance has replaced it in some circumstances.
You will hate the phone, but I have used it as my primary device without needing to change my phone number. For less money than the predecessor, you can get a screen that looks great, software that is easy to use, and an overall quality that is better than anything else on the market today. The A53 5G is a good buy, but it doesn't look or feel like a step forward compared to the A52 or A52S.
There are two natural alternatives to the A53 5G that cost the same price. The replacement of the 5a with the 6a will give a better camera experience. If you want to use apps and services, you'll have to switch toiOS fromAndroid, but it's worth it. There are more choices in the UK, with the Realme GT 2 being one of the strongest alternatives.
If you can stretch a little more money, the Pixel 6 is a good choice because of its camera, design, and clean software. If you are happy to switch to Apple's operating system, the standard iPhone 13 also falls into the same price range. Excellent purchases include long software support and a lot of ability. You are not missing out if you don't own the A52 or A52S.
You will get at least two years of use out of the A53 5G before it becomes obsolete. If your usage stays the same, there won't be a need for you to upgrade if you don't get any updates after this. The phone is protected from dust, particulates, and strong jets of water thanks to the water-resistance rating of the phone.
I agree. The quality, ability, camera, and software of the A53 5G is excellent.
