Matt Turner: United States goalkeeper joins Arsenal from New England Revolution

Turner said he was able to realise a dream after completing his move to the north London club.

The MLS side New England Revolution agreed a long-term deal with the 28-year-old in February.

He played in over 100 games for New England during his time there.

Turner fell in love with the values of the club when he was a kid.

It was a long shot, but I would love to put my team's shirt on.

I devoted my life to being the best player and person that I could be.

One of the best days of my life was when I was able to realize a dream.

In 2020, Turner was named both fans' and team-mates' most valuable player at New England and in August 2021, he played in the MLS All-Star Game in which he saved two penalties.

He was a member of the US squad that qualified for the World Cup in Qatar.

Mikel Arteta said that Matt will bring high quality to the squad.

He is a goalkeeper who will give us added strength going into next season, as he has shown with his performances in recent years in both the MLS and at international level with the U.S.
