Jesse Lingard's contract at Manchester United expires next month

Lingard was offered the chance to return to the London Stadium.

On July 1st, the 29-year-old becomes a free agent after his contract at Old United ends.

At the end of the 2020-21 season, Lingard scored nine goals in 16 starts for the Hammers, who went on to win the league title.

He was denied a second loan spell in January as United refused to deal with a rival.

The signing of Areola from Paris St-Germain is expected to be confirmed by West ham.

Areola spent last season on a loan with the Hammers and will cost around $11.2m.

Areola was in goal for West Ham during their run to the semi-finals of the Europa League.

It is anticipated the 29-year-old will battle for the number one slot with Lucasz Fabianski who signed a one-year contract extension in May

It is the beginning of a busy period for the Hammers, who are flying to Scotland on Monday for their pre-season training camp at St Andrew's.

The club will find out their play-off opponents on August 1st.
