England's World Cup winning captain is retiring from international cricket.

It is possible that an announcement will be made on Tuesday.

England reached the top of the one-day and Twenty20 rankings under Morgan.

In recent times, the 35-year-old has struggled for form and fitness. The vice-captain is the favorite to take his place.

The T20 World Cup in Australia begins in October with England facing India in a three-game series.

Morgan has 6,957 and 2,458 runs in one-day and T20 cricket.

His total of 115 T20s is an England record, as well.

He oversaw England's miserable World Cup campaign in 2015, when they were knocked out in the group stages.

England broke the record for the highest one-day total three times because of Morgan's approach.

England made 494-8 against the Netherlands last week, but Morgan missed the third and final one-dayer due to a groin injury, and he made ducks in his two previous outings.

He has only made one half-century in 26 white-ball outings.

There's more to come.
