Imagine how surprised Owain Davies was when he discovered that his phone still worked after he was submerged in a river.
Davies had given up hope of ever seeing the phone again after it was lost on a canoeing trip in England, but it was recovered and returned to him.
While out on the water, Pacheco found Davies' phone. According to Pacheco, the phone looked bad and so he thought it wouldn't work. He took the phone home, dried it out, and put it on charge.
The phone started to work.
The day the device fell in the water was shown in the screensaver. A picture of a young couple was shown. After Pacheco posted the picture on social media, thousands of people shared it.
Davies lost his phone when he fell into the water while trying to stand up.
He said he realized the phone was gone when he was in the water.
It was six years ago that a man had his phone submerged in an icy lake, but it was still alive.
A man dived into the water to save his phone after he dropped it a few hours earlier. The passer-by captured a video of the owner jumping into the water to get his phone. Yes, it did work.
