According to a report from Mark Gurman, Apple is about to release a number of new devices. According to Gurman, there will be four iPhone 14 devices, a set of new iPads, three Apple Watches, several M2 / M3 upgraded Macs, a pair of refreshed AirPods Pro buds, and a spec-boosted Apple.

These predictions are broken down.

Although Apple announced two new Macs with its flagship M2 processor at its Worldwide Developers Conference, Gurman expects the chip to be found in other devices. The M2 Mac mini, M2 Pro Mac mini, M2 Pro / M2 Max 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pros are included. Apple is expected to bring a mixed reality headset with it. The 13 and 15-inch MacBook Air laptops will likely feature Apple's M3 processor if this isn't overwhelming enough.

We already know that Apple is getting ready to launch the iPhone 14 this fall, and Gurman has a list of all the rumors that have been floating around for a year or so. The new and more powerful A16 chip will only be available in the Pro and Pro Max models. A hole-punch-style selfie camera, a new notch featuring a "pill-shaped cutout" for Face ID, and a 48-megapixel camera are rumored to be included in the iPhone 14 Pro. The Mini will be replaced by a 6.7-inch version of the standard iPhone 14 with the A15 chip.

Apple could launch M2-equipped 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models later this year

There will be a larger iPad between 14 and 15 inches coming in the next year or two according to a report by Gurman. Gurman backs up an earlier rumor from 9to5Mac that says a new entry-level iPad will come with an A14 chip and 5G.

Three new Apple Watch models are expected to be released this fall: the standard Watch Series 8, a new SE and a more "rugged" watch. While the upcoming Watch Series 8 will offer the same level of performance as the preceding S7 and S6 chips, the Watch coming next year will reportedly feature an upgraded processor. The Series 3 is expected to be discontinued this fall in favor of the new SE, which may come with the S8 processor, a jump from the S5 chip that came with the 2020 SE model.

Gurman claims that Apple is going to reveal a new Apple TV with an A14 chip and more RAM this fall. The additional gaming capabilities that we could see in tvOS 16 are set up in this way.

The upgraded HomePod is likely to be released next year. Gurman said that the upcoming HomePod will have the same size and level of performance as the original one. It is expected to have a chip that supports multi-touch and a refreshed display.

Gurman predicts a new chip and better sound for the earbuds. It was rumored earlier this year that this could mean support for lossless audio.
