According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Georgia's Democratic nominee for governor said she wasappalled by the Supreme Court decision.

The Democrat who narrowly lost to the Republican in the last governor's race said she was angry by the vote.

She told the newspaper that it was a travesty. It's a political decision made by a man who doesn't care about women.

She said that if you are in an urban area, you can't just buy your way out. It will take you 250 miles to find help. For a lot of Georgians that is not possible. I am angry. I am determined to push back.

Most people of the state did not support the ruling according to the former state House minority leader.

She said that there are good people in the state who know this is not right. Half of Georgia disagrees with the decision.

She said she would do everything she could to restore the fundamental right to freedom for women in Georgia.

Kemp applauded the court's decision to overturn the abortion law.

He said that the ruling was a historic victory. I hope the law will be fully implemented to protect the unborn.

Women can get an abortion for up to 20 weeks.
