Man punched, slashed, robbed of Cartier watch by stranger he finds in his Manhattan home with his girlfriend

Police said a man was slashed and robbed of his expensive watch by a stranger he found in his Lower East Side home.

The victim went back to his apartment on Delancey Street. The man was chatting with his girlfriend. A fight broke out in the hall after the stranger showed up.

The stranger slashed the victim in the neck and fled with his keys and watch.

The victim was taken to the hospital by medics.

A police source said that the attacker came by to buy a pit bull cage from the girlfriend but she couldn't give them her name.

The suspect arrived a short time before the victim did.

The public was asked to help identify the suspect after the police released a picture of him.
