Two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova enjoyed the perfect preparation for the Championships as she defeated Jelena Ostapenko.
The 32-year-old, who won at the All England Club in 2011.
The men's final was won by Taylor Fritz, who saw off his opponent.
The world number 14 won on the south coast in the month of February.
Ostapenko had a championship point in the second set, but Kvitova won.
Kvitova said that the match was a tough one. When you step on the court as it is here, playing on grass is very special to me.
It was a lot of fun. The best way to prepare for Wimbledon is to play in front of people.
Kvitova will play Italy's Jasmine Paolini on Tuesday in her first match at Wimbledon.
Ostapenko will take on Dodin on Monday.
