The oldest public library in Europe is in Cesena, Italy, which opened in the 15th century, but the Ambrosiana is the second oldest, opened in 1609. One of the largest collections of drawings and writings by Leonardo da Vinci can be found in the grand stone building in Milan.

The largest public library in Mexico is located in the leafy area of Mexico City. The structure is made of concrete, steel, marble, wood and granite. A luscious garden of Mexican flora surrounds 600,000 books that are stored over 40,000 metres of hanging steel shelving inside. Luis Martnez Montes is from the Dominican Republic.

There is a real Biblioteca near Madrid.

The vaulted ceiling of this Biblioteca is adorned with frescoes depicting the seven liberal arts in the form of women. The hall and its ornate ceiling are open to the public for viewing and researchers are allowed to study from its collection of rare Latin manuscripts. It's a stunning gem. Paco Jones.

The founding father of the library, Rossend Ars i Arderiu, was a free thinker and anti-Catholic. The intellectual liberation of the working classes is reflected in the subjects of freemasonry, labour movements and anarchism.

One of the most impressive libraries in France is located at the former home of Henri d'Orléans, Duke of Aumale and the son of the last King of France. Visitors to the Chteau can see a reading room and a gallery of painting. There's a word for that.

The University of Coimbra's library is one of the bestpreserved baroque libraries in the world. The building has 60,000 rare and early books and can be visited as a museum. The man is named José Antnio de Sousa.

The club is in New York.

The Harvard Club library has 30,000 books, 100 magazine and newspaper subscriptions, and a dedicated reading room for alumni of Harvard University. The Matenadaran is located in the Republic of Armenia.

After centuries of pillaging during wars between the Ottoman Empire, Iran and Russia, the Matenadaran was built in 1959 to protect Armenia's rare manuscripts. There are more than 23,000 manuscripts and 500,000 other documents in its grand stone walls. It is now a popular attraction and a place for scholars to conduct research.
