The daughter of the late actor Paul Walker is going to get an abortion in 2020.

The landmark ruling, handed down on 24 June, struck down constitutional rights to abortion and paved the way for individual US states to ban the procedure.

In an address to the nation, US President Joe Biden described the ruling as a realization of an extreme ideology.

Biden urged Americans to vote for lawmakers who will codify abortion rights.

In major cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Detroit, Houston, Miami and outside of the Supreme Court in Washington DC, there have been protests.

According to research from the non-profit that provides reproductive healthcare, the ruling will restrict access to abortion for 36 million people.

Walker decided to have an abortion in 2020 during the Pandemic.

The model said she had battled with the decision at first but found the procedure very private and personal.

She said that she was able to be happy and healthy thanks to the help of her doctor.

It is heartbreaking to know that more women won't have the chance to choose their body first.

Walker said the Supreme Court's ruling was a huge blow to history and a huge injustice to women.

She said that it felt like the biggest assault of them all.

It doesn't prevent safe abortions if you ban abortion.

Walker is the latest celebrity to condemn the Supreme Court's decision.

Micheklle Obama shared her sadness in a statement and expressed her concern that the ruling could lead to unsafe abortions.

For the teenage girl, full of promise, who won't be able to finish school or live the life she wants because her state controls her reproductive decisions, and for the mother of a non-viable pregnancy who is now forced to bring that pregnancy to term, I am devastated.
