Rachel Maddow is worried that Republicans will try to get afetal personhood case before the Supreme Court in order to shut down abortion.

The goal of the case would be to define a fetus as a human being. The fight between extremists and Republicans is decades in the making, often enforced with violence, and that Republicans aren't going to ease off now that the court has overturned Wade.

There is no match or mirror on the left for the anti-abortion political project of the Republican Party and the political right. She spoke on MSNBC's "Rachel Maddow Show" Friday.

40 years in the making, this movement is coming into its own.

She warned them not to stop.

Maddow said there was no reason why the six justices wouldn't accept a fetal personhood case.

A fetal personhood case would allow the court to not just allow individual states to ban abortion. She said that a fetal personhood case could be used to impose a nationwide ban on abortions.

Maddow said it was hardly far-fetched.

She wondered if it would be more radical than what they did today. They have broken the seal here. She pointed out that the Supreme Court had been repeating the precedent for 50 years.

She warned that the conservatives have the power on the court and that they will use it to achieve whatever they want.

Justice Clarence Thomas has warned that the rights of same-sex marriage and birth control will be next to be challenged.

She warned that a county clerk could refuse a license to a couple. Someone who works at a health facility may refuse to process a prescription or order for contraceptives. Texas may bring back its sodomy law.

The dam has burst for the justices.

Is there any reason to believe that they see a reason to stop?
