Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy rips into Roe v. Wade decision, says it's 'pure insanity' and 'we are going backwards in time'

The founder of Barstool Sports took to social media on Friday to condemn the US Supreme Court's decision to overturn abortion rights.

Portnoy said in the video that it was pure insanity. We are going in a different direction. We are going in the opposite direction. It makes no sense to anyone that a woman should be told what to do with her body. I do not understand it. The ability to make informed decisions is taken away.

The Supreme Court decided that abortion is a constitutional right. Many Republican-led states have already passed laws that would ban abortion if the decision were to be reversed.

Portnoy criticized the supporters of the US Constitution for using it as a defense in their support of abortion rights.

Do you think the Constitution was written by slaves? You have to change to stay relevant. It's not possible to look at this document and think it's the end. The US is the best country in the world according to someone who is consistent. I still think it's true. We're doing the wrong thing.

He said that he had to vote for Biden because Republicans were taking away rights.

He asked what was next, same-sex marriage. It's crazy.
