Apple employees can use their company benefits to travel out-of-state to get healthcare. The benefit has been offered to employees for over a decade.

Corporations around the country are committing to pay for employees to travel to get abortions if they are in states where it is against the law.

Employees have the right to make their own reproductive health decisions. Apple employees have been allowed to travel out-of-state for medical care if it is unavailable in their home state for more than a decade.

In September, Apple said in an internal memo that it was monitoring legal proceedings about abortion laws in Texas, and that it gives employees the ability to get medical care out-of-state if it's unavailable in their home state.

There is concern over the data collected by health apps, such as menstrual cycle tracking, which could be used to prosecute people who seek abortions in states where it is not legal.

Apple cannot read the data if it is uploaded to Apple's server for backup and the user has two-factor security on.
