Several video game studios are speaking out and taking a stand to protect the reproductive rights of their employees in the wake of the Supreme Court's decision.

"Travel Reimbursement for Un available healthcare" is a benefit for employees and their families, according to a post on the studio's website. Employees who need to travel to states where abortion is legal if they live in a state that does not allow it would be protected by the move. Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, North and South Dakota, and Idaho have laws in place that could ban abortion as soon as today.

Every one of the company's employees and their families have safe and affordable access to essential health care needs according to the company. As we continue to expand our digital-first workplace to more states, we will now be implementing a travel reimbursement program for any employee to use when they or a dependent cannot get access to the health care they need where they reside. We will continue to stand up for reproductive choice and liberty.

After the SCOTUS draft opinion on abortion rights was leaked to the public last month, the first video game studio to speak out was Bungie. The decision was described as a blow to freedom in America and a direct attack on human rights.

Other game studios have released statements in support of reproductive rights in the wake of the SCOTUS ruling.

Several of the company's subsidiaries have responded to the situation. Last month, Sony CEO Jim Ryan encouraged neutrality on abortion by email to employees, sparking outrage among employees and fans who expected more out of a company that took a stand on other issues.
