  • Donald Trump believes that the Supreme Court's decision to overturn the Wade decision belongs to God.

  • The court's decision was praised by the former president, but not by the vice president.

  • The three appointees to the high court were important in the decision.

The Supreme Court overturned a federal right to an abortion, a victory that was pushed over the top by Trump's picks for the high court.

Trump told Fox News that the rights should have been given long ago.

The landmark ruling that was decades in the making was celebrated by the former vice president of the United States. As a result of the decision, Pence called for a nationwide abortion ban, instead of allowing each state to decide what to do.

It's no surprise that the pair's differences aren't surprising, given that Trump has admitted that he once supported abortion rights. Two presidential candidates are responding to news that will be closely followed by Republicans.

The Supreme Court ruling was made by God according to Trump.

"In the end, this is something that will work out for everyone," he said.

According to The New York Times, Trump said that it would be bad for Republicans if the Supreme Court overturned the decision.

Trump tried to play both sides of the debate after making an explicit campaign promise that he would only name justices that would overturn the abortion law.

Trump told "Fox & Friends" in 2020 that it was possible that Judge Amy ConeyBarrett would vote to overturn the abortion law. The fifth and decisive vote in the case of abortion rights was cast by the last of Trump's picks. She was joined by the other two justices.

The court upheld the ban on most abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy. John Roberts made it clear that he did not agree with the decision to overturn the court's precedents.

Trump took credit for the decision later in the day.

"Today's decision, which is the biggest WIN for LIFE in a generation, along with other decisions that have been announced recently, were only made possible because I delivered everything as promised," he said.

He called it a great honor, chiding Democrats and the media, who he said were the true, but silent, enemy of the people.
