According to a report from The Wall Street Journal, the flagship Ultium-powered electric sedan will be more than just a show car and will have about the same amount of vehicle and vapor. The paper says there are less than 500 built each year and a price starting at $300,000.

The production of the massive pillar-to-pillar touchscreen that will outdo the 33 inch one seen in Cadillac's Lyriq is expected to begin in late 2023. All-wheel drive, four-wheel steering, and a full-glass roof are included in the Celestiq. The wheels, lights, and door hinges have been shown off, but we will have to wait to see the rest.

Ultra Cruise, the next generation of GM's driver assist technology, will be able to work in 95 percent of driving scenarios and on over 2 million miles of paved roads in the US. In an interview earlier this year, the chief engineer of GM said that the company was trying to have a feature that would be a door-to-door self-pilot.

The show car prototype will be presented in July at the Global Technical Center in Warren, Michigan, where GM will build the Celestiq.
