The president of Paris St-Germain has been found not guilty of corruption.

Valcke was found guilty of accepting bribes and forging documents, but he was acquitted of the same charge.

Valcke was given an 11 month prison sentence and a fine of 20,000 Swiss Francs.

The Swiss Federal Criminal Court ruled in October 2020 on the prosecutors' appeal.

Valcke was the general secretary of the world governing body of football.

The appeals court supported the decision to acquit Al-Khelaifi of inciting Valcke to commit criminal mismanagement.

Valcke was accused of accepting rent-free accommodations in an Italian villa bought by Al-Khelaifi in exchange for TV rights.

Al-Khelaifi denied striking a corrupt arrangement with Valcke. It's not a true allegation.

It was decided by the appeal court that Valcke had received "undue advantages" from Al-Khelaifi, but that they did not affect the finances of the sport.

"Today's verdict is a complete exoneration," said Bonnant. For a second time, our client has been completely and completely cleared after a six-year campaign by the prosecution that ignored both the basic facts and the law.

The years of baseless allegations have been proven to be false twice.

Valcke, who is currently serving a 10-year ban from football, was found not guilty of dishonest management.

He was found guilty of taking bribes over media rights in Italy and Greece.
