In August, Serrano beat Yamileth Mercado by unanimous decision and will return to the weight class. It's the first fight for Serrano since her split-decision loss to Taylor at the Garden, a fight that sold out the Garden and has been considered the best women's boxing fight of all time. Serrano hadn't lost in over a decade.
Serrano will return to the weight where she has multiple titles after winning and losing at lightweight.
In May of this year, Carabajal defeated Debora Anahi Dionicius by a majority decision for the interim WBO title. She lost two fights for the WBO lightweight title, the first to Rose Volante and the second to Yohana Belen. She's been in her career for a long time.
