There is a new feature that would allow users to disappear. The feature, called Notes, allows users to post quick notes, similar to announcements, to their "Close Friends" circle or to followers who follow them.
The feature was first spotted by a marketer who published a picture of a screen with a row of messages above it. You can leave a note with a plus button from here.
We know that the Notes can be up to 60 characters long. Users won't get a notification about Notes but will be able to see them for 24 hours in the app and reply to Notes via messages.
The feature could help to highlight important messages from friends that they don't want lost in the inbox and could offer more visibility than posting to stories. The tests will determine if it makes sense to roll out the feature more broadly. Users can use these notes to let their friends know if they are unavailable on call for the next day or if they can be reached at an alternative number.
The Notes feature is being tested with a small group of users.

The test followed a busy month for the photo sharing service.
The company rolled out a number of age verification tools. It introduced a TikTok-like full-screen feed last week to help teens stop looking at bad content. pinned posts and sensitive content controls were introduced earlier in the month.
