While fan edits can often be missed, this one caught my attention in the wake of the Obi-Wan Kenobi finale. The best scene in the series, the final confrontation between Obi-Wan and Darth Vader, is rescored with John Williams tracks.
The final fight from that film was similar to the one between the two characters. I wonder how long this will stay up due to the fact that it is probably breaking two different copyrights at the same time.
It was up for a day and has already amassed over twenty thousand views, with fans praising what CineVore has done with it. There is something about a booming John Williams track that screams Star Wars in a way almost nothing else can.
The Star Wars Disney Plus series has yet to be scored by Williams. Ludwig Gransson was hired to create a new sound for the series. Natalie Holt is the first woman to score a Star Wars project. Not to discount her work, but this is John Williams. John Williams is alive and well.
With the Revenge of the Sith track, this scene has even more life to it, and I want to listen to the entire score set right now. It is possible that Williams will return to Star Wars in the future, but I think we have not heard the last of him yet.
