  • The Washington Post reported that Trump is angry and avid at the hearings.

  • According to the outlet, Trump feels that the GOP is not doing enough to defend him.

  • GOP leaders boycotted the committee and he blames them.

According to The Washington Post, Donald Trump hates watching the January 6 committee hearings because he doesn't believe anyone is defending him.

An unnamed close advisor told the paper that Trump was about to scream at the TV as he listened to the hearings.

The unnamed person told the paper that Trump complains that there's no one to defend him at the hearings, which have attracted a lot of media attention.

Trump's advisors are frustrated that they don't know the committee's processes and don't get advance notice of what's happening.

The anti-Trump wing of the party has two Republicans on the panel, but both have criticized the president.

Kevin McCarthy, who boycotted the committee at its formation, passed up the chance to put pro-Trump figures on the panel.

Trump said that the argument was a mistake, though he didn't directly attack McCarthy for it.

McCarthy has been telling Republicans not to talk about the committee.

He tried to shift the focus from the committee's findings to high gas prices which the GOP blamed on President Joe Biden.

McCarthy's approach is different from the one of Trump. He demanded a TV platform to make his own claims after they had been discredited.

He wrote on his social media network that he wanted more time to explain the massive voter fraud and Dem security breeches.

Trump is an avid watcher of TV news, looking for signals on how his speeches are perceived. He was said to watch seven hours of TV a day and set aside his entire morning for it.

A person for Trump did not reply immediately.
