Oddy says that sugars are broken down quickly and used as energy.

These foods have little nutrition due to the removal of the bran and germ of the whole grain.

Simple carbs are often labeled bad, but not all of them are. Oddy says that some fruit and milk contain a variety of healthy vitamins and minerals.
