The company hopes to build a wallet for the metaverse in the future, which is the main focus of the post. The company is working on something that will allow users to manage their identities, items, and payment methods while making their way through the digital world that Meta bets will be the future.

The company said in May that it was "scoping out what a single wallet experience might look like" with regards to making payments and storing your identity and digital items. The company's metaverse wallet will enable proof of digital ownership and will be used to create and buy digital clothing, art, videos, music, experiences, virtual events, and more.

The idea of a wallet that shows you own digital items sounds a lot like a coin wallet. The company has recently been working on integrating NFTs into its platforms. The company hasn't said whether or not it will actually build its metaverse using the technology or if it will just take inspiration from it. Meta's attempt at making an actual cryptocurrencies didn't end well and it's looking into a digital currency that's not based on the block chain

You will be able to bring your goods to any metaverse experience with the plan for Meta's wallet to be interoperability. The goal of the standards group was to get everyone on the same page when it came to language and tech related to the metaverse.

If the wallet is meant to be interoperability based, it will be a long way off. The company has a store that sells clothes for your digital character.
