Variety reported that MindGeek has lost two high-level executives. Shortly after The New Yorker released a report detailing the holes in the company's moderation system, they resigned.
A spokesman for the company told Variety that a leadership change had been planned earlier this year. The representative said that MindGeek is looking for replacements for Tassillo and Antoon. MindGeek didn't reply immediately.
Despite having a policy meant to protect against this, PornHub has been criticized for hosting videos of children, victims of sexual assault, and non-consensual adults. Young women who had videos posted on Pornhub while they were under the age of 18 were the subject of a New Yorker report.
The problem of offending videos reappearing over and over again was highlighted earlier this year in a story by The Verge. A class-action lawsuit accuses PornHub of failing to take down videos of non-consensual subjects.
