She told the committee in January that her comments were not in line with what she said.
According to a new report, Donald Trump's daughter claimed to believe in his voter-fraud theories in a December 2020 interview.
Trump told the House committee that she had accepted Bill Barr's assessment that Donald Trump's claims of election fraud were not true.
She said that Barr's statement had affected her own perspective. I agreed with what he said. In the panel's first public hearing, the testimony was pre- recorded.
On December 10, 2020, nine days after Barr made the assessment that supposedly swayed her, The New York Times reported that she supported her father's efforts to challenge the results.
"I think that, as the president has said, every single vote needs to be counted and needs to be heard, and he campaigning for the voiceless, I think that's what he's trying to do," said the daughter of the president.
"I think a lot of Americans feel very, very disenfranchised right now, and really, question the sanctity of our elections, and that's not right."
She said her father should keep fighting until the legal remedy is exhausted.
He needs to fight this fight. She said, "Look, you fight for what you love the most and he loves this country and he wants to make sure that their voice is heard and not muffled."
The footage from the December 2020 interview, obtained by The Times, was one of the clips that the House committee was given.
After the 2020 election, as well as during and after the Capitol riot, there were interviews with people close to Trump. The film was supposed to be a legacy project for Trump.
