Before Congress met to certify votes on January 6, Sean Riley, a Johnson staffer, sent a text message to Chris Hodgson, a Pence staffer, that said the senator needed to hand something to VP OTUS.

Riley says it's an alternate slate of electors for Michigan and Wisconsin.

Riley was told not to give that to him.

Johnson had no involvement in the creation of an alternate slate of electors and had no knowledge that it would be delivered to our office, according to his spokeswoman.
