Russell "Rusty" Bowers, the speaker of the Arizona House of Representatives, testified on Tuesday that Rudy Giuliani admitted to not having any evidence of election fraud.

In the afternoon, he spoke before the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol, describing his interactions with Giuliani and the Trump legal team as a tragic parody.

He said that they didn't have the evidence.

"I don't know if that was a gaffe, or maybe he didn't think through what he said, but both myself and others in my group, the three in my group and my counsel, both remembered that, and kind of laughed about it."

Giuliani had claimed that thousands of dead people voted in Arizona, but neither he nor Ellis showed him any names.

Ellis told him that she didn't have any evidence with her.

He said that he never told anyone that he thought the election was stolen.

The speaker quashed a bill that would have allowed the legislature to overturn election results.

More than 40 lawsuits were filed against Trump and his attorneys.
