The football player is retiring from the game.

This is the second time.

He announced Tuesday that he will retire after the 2020 and 2021.

Jordan was the first to report it.

He told the website in April that he wasn't ready to play football.

He said "I'll represent a 7 jersey in the stands for ya!" when he responded to a question about how many fans would wear a No. 7 jersey.

Chris said that Rob would retire when Brady did. The legendary quarterback was notcommittal to play beyond this season and wanted to discuss his plans with his family.

Less than two months after retiring, Brady announced that he was coming back to the bay.

Even after he retired, Gropper was the best tight end in the history of the game. His resume includes four Super Bowl titles, four All-Pro selections, five Pro Bowl nominations, and a Comeback Player of the Year Award.

The University of Arizona product went over 1,000 receiving yards four times and reached double-digit touchdown catches five times during his nine seasons with the New England.

He was unstoppable in the red zone with his size and physical strength but he was also athletic enough to shed tackles in the open field and exploit openings in zones.

He and Brady went to the same place in the same city.

The Super Bowl win over the Kansas City Chiefs was the final game of the 2020 season. Even though he shared touches with Fournette, Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Antonio Brown, he was still effective with 55 catches for 802 yards and six touchdown.

One of the league's best tight ends helped the Bucs win the South.
