Delonte West Says He's Okay After Panhandling Video, 'I'm In Between Jobs'

After a video of him panhandling in the streets went viral, Delonte West insisted he was doing okay and was looking for a job.

We told you in February that the former NBA guard was training to make the Big 3 after battling mental health and addiction issues.

It caught many off guard when a fan shared a video on social media showing West in the streets of Virginia.

Delonte was asked if he was doing okay and why he was on the streets.

West said it's what it is.

I have kids." I work in between jobs. As a man, I need to do what I have to do for my babies.

He understands why he didn't make the cut, but he's thankful for the chance.

West said that he would be there next season. I will be cheering on the guys.

Despite a bunch of tough breaks, the 8-year NBA vet seemingly isn't letting some difficult times discourage him and he hopes to be a part of an NBA coaching staff soon.

I love playing in the game. I was an NBA scout for the Boston Celtics for three years before I was hired by the Dallas Mavericks.

"I was looking forward to being a head coach or assistant coach in the NBA this season, but it's a business that have a lot of people involved and want to stay involved."

Thankfully, I will be up for discussion this season.
