Rob is calling it quits for the second time.

He announced his retirement on social media.

I would like to thank the entire first class Buccaneers organization for an amazing ride and for trusting me to come back and help build a championship team. I will now be going back into my retirement home, walking away from football again with my head held high knowing I gave it everything I had, good or bad, every time I stepped out on the field.

Every single one of my teammates and coaches gave everything they had, and the friendship and relationships I have made will last forever. Thanks to all, from retirement, back to football, and now back to chilling out.

According to the agent, he wouldn't be surprised if his client could be persuaded to return to football by Brady.

Drew said that he would not be surprised if Tom Brady called Rob during the season. I wouldn't be surprised if Rob came back next year.

The New EnglandPatriots player retired after the season due to injury. The 2010 second-round draft pick out of Arizona credits Brady for setting the expectations for his career, and it was Brady who summoned him out of retirement in 2020 to play for the Buccaneers

Brady, methodical and intense, and Gronkowski, playful, fun-loving and never known to have a bad day by coaches or teammates, developed a close connection.

Ali Marpet was the second key member of the offense to retire this year. Brady decided to retire 40 days after announcing his retirement.

He set the NFL record for most receiving touchdown by a tight end in 2011. Gronk's signature move was the "Gronk Spike," where he slammed the ball onto the field after every touchdown.

In addition to the four Super Bowls he won with the Pats, he also had two touchdown in a game in which he called them "tuddies", as he likes to call them.

He was selected to five Pro Bowls and was named a first-team All-Pro four times. He was named the Comeback Player of the Year after coming back from a serious knee injury. He was a member of the 100th anniversary All-Time Team.

He leaves the game with 15 career touchdown catches, the most by a tight end in the history of the playoffs.

His 92 total career touchdown are 12th most in NFL history and third most at the tight end position. He was the only tight end in the history of the National Football League to record three seasons of 1,000 yards receiving and 10 or more touchdown.
