Attorney Tony Buzbee says 20 of 24 lawsuits filed against Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson settled

Tony Buzbee, Deshaun's attorney, said in a statement on Tuesday that his client had settled all but four of the lawsuits he had been sued for.

There have been 25 lawsuits filed against the man since March 16th. When the judge ruled her petition had to be amended, one of the 25 was dropped. There are 20 that have been settled.

The paperwork related to those settlements is being worked on. Those cases will be thrown out once we have done that. The amount and terms of the settlements are not public. We are not going to comment on the settlements or the cases.

The first woman to file a lawsuit against the man is not one of the 20 women who have agreed to a settlement.

Is that correct? There is a hero in this story. The other three brave women's stories will continue even though her case has not been settled. The cases will be tried in due course, consistent with other docket obligations and the court's schedule.

The league interviewed the quarterback in person last month as part of its investigation into whether he violated the code of conduct. At the league's spring meeting, Roger Goodell said he thought the league was nearing the end of its investigation but couldn't give a timetable for when a ruling would be made.

Without the courage and willingness to come forward, the NFL wouldn't be considering discipline, there wouldn't be an examination of how teams might knowingly or unconsciously enable certain behavior, and sports teams wouldn't be reviewing their personnel screening processes.

After the first grand jury decided not to indict him, the Houston Texans traded him to the Cleveland Indians for a package that included three first-round draft picks.

In a news conference last week, he admitted that he regretted the impact the allegations had on the people around him.

"As far as the impact that it has had on the community and people outside of just myself, I do have regrets," he said. My family is also included. This organization is also included. My teammates have to answer these questions. The fan base of the ClevelandBrowns are included. Everyone across the globe is included. The impact that it has on so many people is something I regret. It is difficult to have to deal with.
