Liam Scales and Jayden Richardson
Liam Scales and Jayden Richardson have joined Aberdeen

Liam Scales is on a season long loan from Celtic.

The Republic of Ireland Under-21 defender made 13 appearances for Celtic and scored two times.

Scales is the second new signing for Aberdeen in two days, the other being right-back Jayden Richardson from Forest.

Scales is a strong character with a winning mentality.

Richardson arrived from Forest for an undisclosed fee, a day after fellow right-back Calvin Ramsay left for a bigger club.

The 21-year-old has signed a three-year contract at Pittodrie, after playing 23 times on loan at Notts County.

Richardson said the opportunity for young players to come to Scotland and make an impact is clear. All players want to play in front of large crowds.

He is a very quick, dynamic and attacking full-back who will use this as a platform to prove himself.
