There will be two players on opposite sides of the draw at Wimbledon this year.

The seedings for Wimbledon were announced Tuesday, with Novak and Nadal being the top two seeds.

As a result of the All England Club's decision not to allow players from Russia or Belarus to enter the event in 2022, the top-ranked player in the world is unable to participate. The man is from Russia. The top ranked man is out with an injury.

The top two players in the seedings can't meet until the final. At the French Open last month, that wasn't the case when Nadal beat the Serb in the quarterfinals to win his 22nd Grand Slam title.

Serena Williams will be in the women's draw, but she won't be getting a seeding.

The tournament starts Monday.

The seedings for the men's and women's singles have been determined by the world rankings.

Williams retired from her first-round match at Wimbledon a year ago. She could be drawn to play anyone in the first round of the singles tournament after being given a wild card.

Iga Swiatek will be the top seed at Wimbledon.
