Twelve South’s new Apple charger is a compact and cheaper three-in-one alternative

The HiRise3 is a three-in-one charger that keeps your phone, Apple watch, and AirPods powered up. It has a lot of the same features as the BoostCharge Pro 3-in-1 Wireless Charger with MagSafe, but with a lower starting price, and a few more quirks.

The caveat should be left out of the way. The HiRise3 only works with MagSafe compatible phones, so they won't get the full 15W of charging. It is not as fast as it could be, but it is not as bad as it could be.

There is a second caveat that the HiRise3 doesn't come with a 20 watt power adapter. You will need to factor in the cost of a charging brick if you don't already have one. The total cost of Twelve South's charger will be closer to 120 if you add up the brick's price and the other costs.

If you have a lot of devices to charge on a crowded nightstand, the HiRise3 should do an excellent job at being space efficient. There is a new charge available.
