The Sesame Street we all know and love is usually a gentle, light-hearted affair filled with life lessons and large furry friends.

Did you know that one show was banned after parents complained?

Margaret Hamilton guest-stars as the wicked witch of the west on a quest to get her broom from Big Bird and David after she falls out of the sky.

Here's the first part of the show.

There is a scene where the wicked witch threatens to turn Big Bird into a feather duster in the episode. We can see why it might have been a tad disturbing since the audience of Sesame Street is so young.

The episode was pulled from TV after it aired in 1976. The episode will be shown at a Museum of the Moving Image screening as part of a "Sesame Street Lost and Found" event in 2019. According to the publisher, the episode was in the Library of Congress, but it's not clear if it was available to the public. The LOC has been reached out to by the website.

It can be watched online now. The 15-minute episode was shared on the r/lostmedia subreddit, where it quickly became a meme. We will update this article if we receive a response from the person who reached out to us.
