Pixar's Lightyear is the franchise's first attempt at a big, non- holiday short spinoff. Chris Evans' commitment to the part as the hero of Star Command helped make the movie work, even if it was a little confusing about what it was. Since it is a movie about toys, it is a good time to ask about the future of toy-based movies.
We are going to get a movie for Barbie, Hot Wheels, and Beyblade within the next couple of years. Several of the Transformers movies are pretty good, and even the recent Lego films are pretty good. Those old Barbie films are popular with their fans. The first three movies were very good if you're an old head fan of the show.
