A family dog in Florida has died after a visit to the park.

Joshua Wells and his dog, a 40-pound black Labrador retriever named Toby, were attacked by an alligator while they were out for a walk at a local park.

An alligator leaped out from a nearby waterway and grabbed Toby's dog by the head, and carried it back into the water.

The dog never had time to react to the incident.

There is a golf game on a Florida course.

Wells told the commission that the water exploded, according to the report. He didn't bark." He wasn't able to see it.

When he saw the size of the gator, Wells reconsidered his decision to grab the dog.

The man was charged in the death of his mother after showing police video of him moving a body.

He realized that it was not a good idea to keep the alligator.

Wildlife officials who responded to the scene were able to locate the alligator.

The alligator was measured at 9 feet, 2 inches.

The dog's remains were found in the same area where the alligator was found.

At the time of the incident, the dog wasn't on a leash. Pets on leashes are encouraged by the wildlife agency.
