Lauren Boebert voted against Biden's infrastructure bill and is asking for more than 30 million dollars in federal funding for a transportation project.

Boebert wrote a letter to Pete Buttigieg, the Secretary of Transportation, in support of the South Bridge Project.

The South Bridge project is being funded through the Rural Surface transportation grant program. This funding would allow the community to build a bridge to connect the south corridor of the city to the west side of the river.

Boebert said that Biden's infrastructure bill was not the right way to invest in rural Colorado.

The project has been in the works for decades after many fires threatened the community, according to the mayor.

He said it was difficult to find funding for the project.

The community has raised enough money to build the bridge.

Boebert did not support the infrastructure bill, but Godes is happy to have her support.

I would have liked to have had a bipartisan bill that everyone supported. Boebert has worked closely with the mayor and his partners on the project since he took office.
