Burger King restaurants in Japan are running out of potatoes to make french fries so they are asking customers to swap for ramen.

The "almost-potato set" is being sold by the fast food restaurants. The meal includes a burger and a side of ramen noodles.

Customers aren't happy about the switch.

One person told CBS they would go to Mcdonald's if Burger King only had ramen.

According to CBS, Burger King considered substituting boiled ramen, broiled squid, and apple pie as replacements for the fries. Burger King has many restaurants in Japan.

Supply chain disruptions and higher-than- expected demand have helped other fast food companies deal with their own shortages. A shortage of ingredients for its Mexican Pizza has been reported by the fast food chain.
