Folly Beach

The best beach for surfing vibes.

The Folly River and the Atlantic Ocean can be found just south of Charleston. Six miles of broad beaches were created by the intersection of the two waterways.

The first inhabitants of Folly Beach were the Bohicket Indians, who lived in the area in the 1600s.

The barrier island is sometimes referred to as one of America's last true beach towns. Folly Beach's Center Street is lined with trendy shops and restaurants.

1000ft Folly Beach Pier is one of the ocean-focused attractions on the island.

Kids of all ages can enjoy kayaking on the Folly River.

Folly Beach has a lot of culture. In the 1930s, the house was home to two authors. George Gershwin wrote "Porgy and Bess" there in 1934.

Hilton Head

It's the best beach for luxuries.

The first eco-planned destination in the US, Hilton Head is famous for its luxury accommodations, low country- beaches and more than 23 world-class golf courses.

Many of the island's exclusive hotels have private access to the beach. The ocean waters are close to the same temperature as the daytime one, which is 70F.

There are many things to see and do in Hilton Head, which is known for its high-end offerings. There are deer and alligators at the Pinckney Island National Wildlife refuge. It has moss-draped oaks, magnolias, pines, and palmettos.

Travelers on a budget will appreciate the metered parking at eight of the island's beaches.

Edisto Beach

Nature lovers should go to the best beach.

There are four oceanfront state parks in the state. Edisto Beach is a great place to stay for nature lovers. Adventure in the great outdoors is what Edisto beach is known for.

The longest system of ADA accessible hiking and biking trails is located at the Beach State Park. Hike, bike, explore the beach and catch fish. Edisto Beach offers affordable beach fun from furnished cabins perched in the woods, as well as oceanfront and forest campsites.

Edisto Island's natural history is displayed in the environmental education center at the park. There is a park near the Edisto River.

When it is time to go for a stroll on Edisto Beach, look for colorful seashells and watch for fossils.

Bull Island

The best beach for avoiding crowds.

Bull Island is located in the Cape Romain National Wildlife refuge.

The perfect island to avoid crowds is accessible by ferry or kayak with 16 miles of trails and roads.

More than 300 bird species can be found on Bull Island. The kids like to see a Bald Eagle. If you want to see alligator, black fox, and bottlenose dolphins, you can take a tour.

The largest of the four barrier islands is 66,000 acres. There are saltwater estuaries, barrier islands and freshwater impoundments in the refuge.

Bull's Island is home to bottlenose dolphins and loggerhead sea turtles.

The three mile stretch of beach on the island's northeast corner is popular with photographers because of the bleached skeletons of oaks, cedars, palmettos, and pines.

You can either go for the day or a short time. It is a great day trip from Charleston to Awendaw, which is about 50 minutes away.

Crescent Beach

The best beach for kids.

South Carolina has more than 19 million visitors every year. The white-sand beaches are one of the attractions that tourists come for.

One of the best places to post up with a beach umbrella with a good book is Crescent Beach, a hidden gem in North myrtle Beach.

There are two places on South Ocean Boulevard where you can have a drink and chat with the locals. There are a lot of water sports in North myrtle Beach. The beach has a wide range of activities from wakeboarding to surfing and parasailing.

Kiawah Island

Privacy is the best thing about the beach.

It's a private island with 10 miles of white-sand beaches. It's one of the best beaches for a luxury vacation. A world-class resort and a vibrant village coexist along a pristine coastline, with 10,000 acres of maritime woodlands, sand dunes, and marshes populated by whitetail deer, alligator, Bobcats, seabirds and sea turtles.

For current and future generations, the natural maritime setting is being improved. The island is a great place to visit for families as well as adults. Charleston Tea Garden and Firefly Distillery are great places to eat and drink.

The majority of the beaches are private and accessible. Beachwalker County Park is a good place for visitors who aren't staying on the island.
