One of the last people to leave a home is the equipment manager, and the night of June 14, 2021.

1 ranked team in the country, are the Razorbacks. NC State's ninth-inning home run was the difference in the Men's College World Series elimination game. Arkansas' players hugged, cried and lingered for an hour and a half in the locker room after their season ended early.

Taylor wasn't going to collect uniforms.

There were more than 11,000 people in Baum-Walker Stadium that day, and some of them had camped out the night before to get a spot in the left field berm. NC State recorded the final out. Dave Van Horn talked to his team after the game.

Van Horn told them that they would make up for what happened. We are going to celebrate and dogpile on someone's field.

The Razorbacks were in Chapel Hill after their win over North Carolina. They will play in the opening game of the Men's College World Series.

Despite Van Horn's belief that every Arkansas team is capable of making it to Omaha, the 2022. The Golden Spikes Award winner was one of nine Razorbacks who were lost to the MLB draft. They went 4-7 and failed to win a game in the SEC tournament. The last time they hosted a regional was in 2015.

They didn't want to be known as the team that didn't do much and faded at the end of the year. I'm not sure. There were a lot of different people. When we got back from Alabama, we were gone for two weeks, a lot of times a coach can look at a team and see how they walk around. We did not allow that to happen. They kept it from happening. To me, that makes them special.

Arkansas beat Oklahoma State 20-12 and then beat the Cowboys again in the regional final. The Razorbacks are going to Omaha for the third time in five years.

They had been through their worst baseball experience.

Battles went home to San Antonio after the loss and couldn't bring himself to watch baseball. There was a joke between him and Van Horn that he might stay in Arkansas if he could wear the No. 2 jersey. The number belonged to Van Horn, who wore it as a player and as a coach for 20 years.

The Battles called Van Horn happened in the middle of the draft. The man inquired about the jersey number.

Van Horn said that he could have No. 2 if he came back.

Battles said it was not about the number.

He said it was about being here. I am so thankful that I came back.

He has a.293 batting average with 10 home runs and 44 runs scored. He said he doesn't feel pressure or expectation.

There were a lot of children waiting for Battles' autograph after Friday's practice. He came to the MCWS with his dad. They talked about their dream of making it to college baseball's biggest stage as a player while sitting in the bleachers that summer, according to Fred Battles.

Battles is playing for his friends who did not make it to Omaha. They text their friends. Ramage said that he and Kopps talk all the time. Ramage received a text after the super regional win.

"Don't stop."
