On Friday, the full version of Heard's interview was aired.
Heard said that she is worried that Johnny will take her to court again.
The actor assumed that he had the right to speak.
After a Virginia jury found her liable for defaming her ex- husband Johnny, Heard said she was nervous about what she could say in public.
In an interview with NBC's "Dateline" on Friday, Heard said she was worried that she would be sued again if she continued to speak about the trial.
I assumed that I was allowed to speak. I'm scared that no matter what I say or how I say it, every step that I take will give me another chance to silence you, which is what a defamation lawsuit is meant to do," Heard said.
At the center of the defamation trial, which played out in a Virginia court earlier this year, was a Washington Post op-ed in which Heard implied she was a survivor of sexual and domestic violence. He took Heard to court, accusing her of ruining his career by insinuating in the op-ed that he abused her.
Heard accused Depp of assault before and during their marriage which ended in divorce. The claims weren't denied by the actor.
The jury found both Heard and Depp liable for defaming each other, but the verdict was a win for the actor, who was awarded fifteen million dollars in damages.
In her first interview after the verdict, Heard said she stood by her testimony and would do so until her death. The actor said it was hard to testify at the trial because of the many fans in attendance.
In the courtroom, I am testifying about sexual assault and violence in front of a jury in front of people who are not happy with me.
She said barricades had to be set outside of the courthouse for her safety because of the crowds of "Captain Jack Sparrow" fans outside.
Most of the engagement on the internet seemed to be in support of the actor. Heard doesn't blame the jury for their decision in the case.
I understand that I'm not a good victims. I am not a nice person. She said she's not a saint. I'm not trying to get people to like me.
Heard believes the outcome may have a chilling effect on domestic violence survivors.
It's never going to be good enough. It was a hoax if you had proof. It didn't happen if you didn't have evidence.
Heard was accused of "re-litigating" the case in the media by a spokesman for the actor.
While Johnny is looking to move forward with his life, the defendants and her team are back to re-litigating matters that have already been decided by the court and jury.
Heard plans to appeal her case and is focused on being a mother to her child.
