Los Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon will be out of action for the rest of the season due to a wrist injury.
During Tuesday's game against the Dodgers, Rendon injured his wrist and has not played since.
The Angels signed Rendon to a seven-year contract before the 2020 season.
Phil Nevin said before the Angels began a three-game series at Seattle that Anthony Rendon might be able to pinch-hit.
He won't have another season because of injury.
He was limited to 58 games last year and hit.240 with nine homers.
He had a career-best.319 batting average in his best season with Washington, when he was an All-Star. He hit a home run in the sixth and seventh games of the World Series.
