Trump says he would look ‘very, very seriously’ at pardons for Jan 6 defendants if reelected

If he were to become president again, he would look very seriously at pardoning those charged in the Capitol storming case.

The defendants charged in the Capitol riot were having their lives completely destroyed and being treated worse than terrorists and murderers according to Trump.

Someday, if I become president, I will be very serious about looking for pardons. He said it was very serious.

Though he has teased the possibility that he will, Trump has not yet said if he will run for president again.

If he ran for president again, the former president said he would give pardons to people charged in the riots.

The former president called Lindsey Graham a "RINO" after he said that he thought the idea of pardoning Capitol riot defendants was inappropriate.

The House select committee is investigating the Capitolriot's slate of public hearings.

The panel showed evidence that a conservative lawyer who advised Trump on a plan to overturn the 2020 election tried to get a pardon from the White House.
